Hair Treatments
Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure performed with the aim of transplanting hair from areas of the scalp with healthy hair growth to areas that are thinning or experiencing baldness, in order to achieve a fuller and more aesthetic appearance. It is commonly preferred in cases of male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) or in women experiencing hair thinning.
The procedure of hair transplantation typically involves a tissue transfer process. Hair follicles, usually taken from the scalp where hair growth is abundant, often from the back or sides of the head, are transplanted into the balding or thinning areas. This process facilitates the healthy and permanent re-implantation of hair follicles, thereby encouraging the natural growth and development of hair.
Hair transplantation is usually performed under local anesthesia and has become safer and more effective with advancements in surgical techniques and technology. Modern hair transplantation methods employ minimally invasive techniques, offering patients less discomfort and faster recovery times.
Hair Transplantation Options:
FUE Hair Transplantation:
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is one of the first methods that comes to mind when it comes to hair transplantation. The characteristic feature of the FUE method is that no incisions are made in the scalp, which provides advantages both during the operation and in the healing process. Additionally, the fact that there will be no scars or incision marks after the operation increases its preference among patients. Essentially, we refer to the extraction of individual hair follicles and their transplantation one by one into the areas where hair loss has occurred. In all hair transplantation techniques, hair follicles are similarly extracted from the donor area and transplanted individually into the recipient area.
The FUE technique is the fundamental technique in hair transplantation surgeries, and we can say that the current state of hair transplantation owes much to the FUE technique. With the discovery of the ability to transplant the follicular unit like an organ, FUE allows for working independently with each hair follicle. Thus, many advantages are obtained, such as adjusting the angles of the hair follicles, using grafts in different areas of the scalp based on their thickness, and planning the direction of hair growth for the best aesthetic result.

Sapphire FUE Hair Transplantation:
Sapphire FUE hair transplantation is a technique widely preferred in the field today, where the channel opening phase of the commonly chosen FUE hair transplantation technique is performed with tips made from a precious gemstone, sapphire.
Advantages of Sapphire FUE Hair Transplantation:
The current technology used in Sapphire FUE hair transplantation allows for more aesthetic and healthier results compared to steel tips. The channels opened with sapphire-tipped pens are much smaller and smoother, resulting in less tissue damage compared to other hair transplantation techniques. As a result, tissues heal quickly without any visible scars after the procedure.
The very thin sapphire-tipped pen allows channels to be opened in accordance with the size and angle of the hair follicles. This allows the hair follicles to be placed inside the channels naturally, ensuring strong attachment to the scalp and achieving a highly natural appearance.
The sapphire-tipped pen used in Sapphire FUE technique enables the opening of microchannels matching the size of the hair follicles. This allows for more frequent opening of channels in the area where hair transplantation will be performed, and closer placement of the follicles to each other. With the dense placement of hair follicles in Sapphire FUE technique, a much more natural and fuller appearance is achieved compared to other techniques.
DHI Hair Transplantation:
DHI Hair Transplantation, which stands for “Direct Hair Implantation,” is a method where grafts are collected using a medical pen called choi, which should only be used by expert individuals. Subsequently, the harvested hair is directly implanted into the skin without making cuts or openings, again using this pen. While in traditional hair transplantation methods, these two processes are performed separately, the use of the special pen streamlines the procedure, providing comfort and convenience to the patient. In short, while the procedure in the FUE hair transplantation technique consists of three stages, it is two-stage in DHI. The aim of the application is to improve the quality of hair transplantation, achieve a dense appearance, preserve the existing hair, and allow the person undergoing hair transplantation to return to daily life quickly without cutting their hair.
What are the advantages?
Performing the opening of channels and placement of hair follicles simultaneously allows for the immediate placement of harvested hair follicles without long waiting periods.
It allows for denser implantation and achieving a much more natural appearance.
The waiting time for follicles during hair transplantation is reduced thanks to the special tool used, minimizing the risk of follicle loss.
Existing hair remains undamaged. It is a method that can be applied even to patients whose hair loss has not been completed.
